Here's a double-hat post; one each for me and my son, at Disney's Animal Kingdom. Yes, my son has the same skin condition as Crompsin.

I love my hat. It's not just a hat, it's an umbrella. It's a Tilley.

Everyone looks great in their hats. I love the pink fuzzy hat MILF.

My hat. I had to wear it in front of Hat Rock on one of our road trips.

I recognize that hat and stature from above and no amount of coverup on his face can disguise it... World's King is your son?!!??

All these hats are most excellent. But I'm surprised that it's taken until now to post a true classic. Presenting moi, and the hat I will be wearing in about an hour from now:

Yeah, but I disowned him shortly after that photo. There was an "incident" involving Snow White *and* Dopey. According to the terms of the papers I signed, I can't explain further.

Can I say that I love me some Lebanese men? Of course, I am partial to my ktspktsp :) but dlish, I love the look!!

My usual hat on the coldest winter days is this one (purchased in Greenland, made from seals and dog fur)... this photo was taken in Mainz, Germany during our 10 hour stopover there on the way to Beirut, after vast amounts of alcoholic Gluhwein:

But here is the one I sported in Lebanon for New Year's Eve, when the weather was much warmer and after vast amounts of regular wine and spirits:

Actually though, mods, I am slightly concerned about this thread being in GD and random people stumbling on it... any chance of getting it moved to Tilted Portraits?

Darn you Charlatan! I thought that after the great server purge of '07, when all images residing on the old server were erased, that border incident on the defunct Toronto/Rochester run was now forgotten :paranoid:

It is lovely there at Banff, onesnowyowl. And as you can see I still had a hot Starbucks Tall-Bold brought from town to sip on, on thanks to the quick and efficient gondola ride to the top of the mountain. The Pakol hat lets the wind in, and can be itchy where the wool rubs the skin - that being said it is adaptable and pretty comfortable and leaves one with mimimal hat-head
I found it amusing how in Eastern Canada (Toronto) my hat evinces no comments. As soon as I enter cowboy country (Western Canada/Alberta) I am getting looks, and smiles, and have assorted Middle-East people come up and talk to me about my hat. They only see cowboy hats or baseball caps out there.

That happens, ring. But if you line the hat with more than the silk that sits just under the top you will have something completely other than a Pakul hat.
If only we could all carry the look as well as Ahmad Shah Massoud, the assasinated Northern Alliance leader who's trademark hat has become a symbol of resistance to the Taliban.
