I'm curious as to what my fellow tfp'ers signs are. and maybe even the rising sign. I have a number of books on astrology and go to several websites but Astrodientis is the best.

I don't believe in astrology, but I thought it was interesting that I supposedly share "star characteristics" with Helen Gurley Brown, and birthdays with Cybill Shepherd and Wendell Wilkie.

Cancer with Leo ascendant. Have no idea what the ascendant thing means.

generally , the rising sign is how people percieve you, you can also take on characteristics of your rising

so you might look like a leo or people might think you act like one or you may have some leo characteristics...even more so if your birthday is on the cusp(right on starting/ending day b/t Cancer and Leo)

Until I started doing charts years ago (I was bored one day), I didn't put much faith in astrology. I don't believe in it to predict the future, however, I do believe a lot of your character and personality is somewhat influenced by the positioning of the planets. Just think about how crazy people can get when it's a full moon.

I'm a Pisces with the ascendant in Scorpio. Don't quite get what it all means. The descriptions though are fairly accurate sometimes.

Just an interesting note - my daugher was 2 weeks late when she was born. Her horoscope for that day said "It's time to come out in the open and join the real world. Break out of your shell and enjoy life." Wild! She was born about 10 hours after I read her horoscope that morning.

She guessed my sign just by my personality, and she did it with others too. I don't know but it was pretty freaky.. She is interested in that stuff, and somehow she got lucky everytime.. heh. Otherwise, hmmm...not sure if I did that right. The first time I put in the data, I got Capricorn, with Sagitarius rising. I closed the window, and returned, and got Capricorn, with Scorpio rising. (I suppose that's the analytical Capricorn in me, doing that all a second time "to be sure".) But, after reading through both, I can say that the Scorpio rising is much closer to my life than Sagi. For instance, the Scorpio text reads,
"A rather cold childhood may leave deep marks on your subconscious. This could lead to a sense of fear and distrust in the world."

Yeah, that's me all right. Parents bitterly divorced at my age of five.
