Holy crap! That's nuts! Only twice has lightning hit that close to me and it scared the bejebus off of me.

Once I was looking out my window and it hit across the street. The second time was about 2 weeks ago at a lake. I was out visiting a friend at a camp site and took at at like 1AM, there was a big storm rolling in across the lake (Got some pics of it in the photography section), tried to get some shots of the lightning. Then I figured that it was getting close so I got in my truck to leave, drove about 50 feet, stopped, looked out the window to see how close it was, and BAM! Lightning struck pretty close to where I was standing before. Needless to say I was freaked out big time and booked it right back to my hotel room.
