really I haven't a clue but it's funny as hell. |
What's Japanese for schadenfreude? Their television programming is based on it.

That's dangerous...
Doesn't cement cause 3rd degree burns? I do love their game shows though... They'de be illegal anywhere else due to it basically being a form of torture :| |

why would cement cause burns? anywho... Them japanese sure do love covering people in sticky, gooey stuff. cement bukkake....hehehe |
I'm not sure about mixed cement, but cement dust can cause burns and skin irritation when it's mixed with sweat.

that guy in the yellow helmet was the smartest out of the bunch.
i don't know how/if they decide a winner. but that guy in the red helmet wins as far as i'm concerned  |
I wonder what good Japanise TV looks like???

Cement sets up due to a chemical reaction, not because the water evaporates. I have no idea if that would cause a burn, though. I sort of doubt it. In warm weather, you can cause the cement to become much harder by sprinkling water on it, keeping it wet for several days after its poured. Once its dry the reaction and bonding of the molecules ends.
I believe the challenge is to determine what is being poured in the box by the participants. They are blindfolded as well as wearing heavy gloves. Whatever, its still funny. |
Wet cement has calcium hydroxide in it which is extremely alkaline and can burn skin. It'll also suck all the moisture from your skin. I wouldn't want to be those people in the morning. Hopefully it was a mixture that didn't include calcium oxide which is possible. Still those people are going to has some contact dermatitis for the next few days/weeks.
