Mod Alert: Question
Sorry if this info is available elsewhere, but how do I use "chat". I clicked on it. Downloaded whatever it told me to and then was told that my name was "Erroneous".
Help! I'm not erroneous.

I think the problem exists in your username. I don't think a number can start a nick on irvingnet. What you'll have to do is download a program such as mIRC or Trillian and connect to irc.irvingnet.net then type /join #tfp.

lol, yup, in this case, 4th, you ARE erroneous!
 like spec said, IRC nicknames can't start with digits. 2 things. #1: try the chat link again, and when you get that error, type "/nick forthTimeLucky" This MAY not work, I'm honestly not sure. BUT, if it doesnt, do a google search on mIRC, and as spec said, join the server irc.irvingnet.net and "/j #tfp" All these commands should be entered WITHOUT quotes, by the way. if you ahve any more problems, let me know.  |

Thanks I'll give it a go.
Never wanted to use it before, but I had a pretty rough day yesterday and after my partner left in a storm at midnight I wanted people to chat to (read: inflict my suffering upon). The last thing I wanted was to be told (again) that I was Erroneous.
