Hilarious kids show with sexual inuendos - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

This is a kids show from the early 80's from the UK called "Rainbow". This particular episode is so full of inuendos that they can't be a mistake. I don't think that this particular show actually aired but it's so odd to see these actors talk about subjects so far removed from their more familiar roles.

ya, that is shocking... it's actually kinda sad almost that they got soo much sexual stuff in a childs program... i chuckled the last time i seen that movie, but this time it sucked

Roundabout? Nah, that show is called "Rainbow." The recently read an article stating that the lead actor (the guy who says, "Play with your balls!") purchased Bungles the Bear's costume via auction.

Can anyone actually confirm that this clip aired on TV? I seem to remember reading that the cast filmed this bit as a joke/outtake.

Ahah! More info, from Snopes:
"Although often introduced as the unaired pilot, this episode was actually specially made by the team at Thames Television. Geoffrey Hayes told us, "The VT department of each ITV company, every Christmas had a competition to enter all the outtakes from their particular companies programme out put, and see which ones were the funniest. But ours wasn’t an outtake, we specially did it. It was specially scripted and we did it and I never saw it! We did it and Thames won it, but what they actually won, I don’t know. But I never saw the video. I can’t remember much about it except for Zippy with a banana." The script was written by the voice of Zippy and George; Roy Skelton"

oh my goodness... after that I feel like plucking my instrument and playing with my balls at the same time. And remember, if you dont have any, maybe you can play with your friends balls. ahh, the wonderful memories of my youth...so glad it didnt include that...lol
