Good HTML editor ?

I've been using a little app called Editplus
for editing HTML for as long I can remember.

What are some other good ones out there? (anything besides Wysiwyg's).

I use pico/nano. On windows it comes with Pine.

If you meant one that helped you along and didnt just give you a black screen at a console and leaves you to fend for yourself, nvu and dreamweaver are both OK, but I've been editor free (hand-coding) for ... 1 year now.

Yes. If it doesnt have a builtin syntax file, there are tons you can download from their site for almost anything imaginable.

although I've used Quanta before and been a fan.

I haven't used Bluefish too much, and it's been well over half a year since I have.. but I liked it when I was using it then.

These are both Linux, btw....

For Windows: UltraEdit, no question.

I use dreamweaver, and since you said you aren't interested in wysiwyg editors, that's the extent of my expertise there...heheh.
