I am thinging of purchasing an Infocus X1 projector and was wondering if anyone in this forum has one?

What is the intended use for it? Its not a widescreen native projector and its res is only 800x600, so I wouldn't expect the world...

I do not have one. Sure wish I did. Although the native res is 800x600, it has picked up excellet reviews for quite some time. Check out Projector Central. Their review is fair, and seems to be the general feeling for this inexpensive projector: go get one!

Projector Central is a good place for reviews. You can also get some good non-commercial discussion at AVS Forum. In fact, since there are liklely many X-1 owners there, you can get a better feel for the unit. Register and post some questions there, too!

There's my man, juju! I knew you'd be on this soon enough! It does appear to be a lot of projector for the green, and I'm sure it would far eclipse anything of Sony, Philips, Sharp, etc. at that price point. It does give you DCDi, that's a big plus.

I've been using an X1 for home theater use for almost a year now and I love it. If I had to buy again right now I'd go for the 4805 which I believe just started shipping. Tons of info over at avsforum, try searching and you'll find most topics.
