Games won't boot up - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

I have a P4 3.0Ghz GeForce 5700 ultra computer with 512 DDR.

For some reason, a few of my games including Battlefield 1942 and NFS Underground refuse to work.

The strange thing is that I had them working just yesterday. The only thing I installed was a USB to PS2 controller device so I could use my playstation controller on the computer. All my drivers are updated, and everything was working fine before. Arx Fatalis, another graphics-heavy game still works, so I'm thinking it can't be a graphics card problem.

Any thoughts?

You might wanne try using Windows XP's system restore function. Provided you use XP, of course. It can be found in start/programs/accessories/system tools/

If you're lucky, that will allow you to return to the previous working system.
