Help using newsgroups? - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

I got as far as installing a newsreader(Newsbin), but I don't know where to find news servers, or even how to d/l from a news server?

Any help on how to find good news servers would be appreciated. Also some info on how to join a group would be appreciated.

If your ISP has one, your good to go. Try news.ispname.com, or check their web page for NNTP instructions. If they don't have one, expect to pay some fee for the service. The free ones I've seen aren't worth connecting to.

If you just want to read newsgroups, just use Outlook Express...Newsbin is for downloading binary files (music, pictures, movies, software etc), not for actually reading posts.
