Rock Family Tree

OK, this is a bit of an experimental thread, but I've got this idea of building a rock family tree extending across punk pop, metal, grunge, etc. and back through rock and roll to blues and whatever else.

I'll start the tree of to give an idea of form. When you want to add someone, just quote the previous poster to get the tree so far, and delete out any comments (like these). Then add your own branches. Try to keep it the width of the post-editing box for the sake of viewability.

Try to keep branches to where there is a substantiable link, such as a being taught by b, or covering one of their songs, or are known to have said they were influenced by them. If we allow merely 'sounds a bit like' connections, we'll end up all over the place.

Use   (highlight and copy that from the & to the ;)for each space. Best way to do this is to first write the reply in a text editor and do a find and replace of spaces with  .
