i played ea's nhl 2004 last night at my friends house and found the game to be a lot of fun. i was thinking about going out and buying the game for myself. i know that espn hockey is out there and i have seen that it seems to get better reviews than ea's game. i was wondering if anyone had any thoughts about the two? Given the choice which one would you go with?

never tried espn's hockey game, however EA's game isn't bad but the game play could be better and more smooth.

My friend just got NHL hitz (made by Midway)xbox, and its the best hockey game ive ever played. Most hockey games, its so hard to score, but this one it isnt. Very good game......(sorry about the off-subject)

First EA sports hockey game, and it actually had BLOOD! lol I remember that was a big deal at the time when I was like 11
