Tie a tie

Does anyone know where I can find a video online showing how to tie a tie? I've found several sites that have pictures which show the process step by step, but it's still confusing and I can't get it right. I figure, if someone knows of an online video that would make it much easier.

Thanks.

OK Work with me- I don't have a webcam, but we can do it together. This is going to lead to a proper symmetrical full windsor knot- not that sideways knot that some arses wear.

Place tie around neck-skinny side to your left. Right over left and underneath up the center and out. Take the large end in your right hand, wrap the triangle you've just created to the rear of the knot, pass the large end to your left hand, wrap the left side of the triangle and flip the large end over the top towards your chest. At this point, the large end is behind the skinny end, with the seam away from your chest. You're almost home. Take the knot in your left hand with two fingers pointing towards your adam's apple, the wide end in your right, and flip the wide end horizontally towards the left, go over your left hand, back up towards your own neck, and stuff the remainder of the tie towards your left hand fingers.

Adjust the knot until it looks nice. Length will not be correct the first time. Repeat second paragraph as needed. By the time you get length correct, you'll be well practiced, or a dedicated wearer of golf shirts.

Thanks for the help, unfortunately I lost you on this step: "Take the large end in your right hand, wrap the triangle you've just created to the rear of the knot, pass the large end to your left hand"

I don't understand that part in bold.

The large end would pass over the right hand downward pointing aspect of the triangle and go behind the knot, e.g. between the knot and you, and then be taken in your left hand.

1. The wide end "A" should extend about 12 inches below narrow end "B". Cross wide end "A" over narrow end "B".

2. Bring wide end "A" up through loop between collar and tie; then back down.

3. Pull wide end "A" underneath narrow end "B" and to the left, and back through the loop again.

4. Bring wide end "A" across the front from left to right.

5. Pull wide end "A" up through the loop again.

6. Bring wide end "A" down through the knot in front.

7. Using both hands, tighten the knot carefully and draw up to collar.

Bear in mind there are several ways to tie a tie. Personally I prefer the half-windsor knot, it looks very similar, but a bit smaller. I find the Windsor to be a bit large.

Yes, the full windsor is larger, but it is symmetrical, unlike the one shown. Look at ties worn on the evening news. If one side of the knot is almost parallel to the long axis of the tie and the other angles away, that is the quick and dirty knot. Yuk.
