Hi all Battlefield 1942 players, there is a new updatde version 1.5.
The download is free of charge and includes a new map: Philippines Island Map. I played it a few times and i like it.

Its a nice looking map, generally well laid out , with the added bonus of Motor Torpedo boats

A great addition to a GREAT game.

love the boats, the map is so huge though, hard to get a large offensive organized.

holy shit that map kicks ass!.. A Naval Gun Boat... Tons of torpedo boats, alone with a few minigun ones. Jeeps, Tanks, APCs, and even a few planes... so fun!!!

Can you play the new map in single player mode?

I like to explore the map first.

I like that they gave the americans a garand, but i dident know the japanese had a semi-auto rifle as well...
