I really think its still up for grabs - and I have no emotional attachment to the race.
But - here's why I'll root for the Marlins and the Dodgers (either one is okay by me). Chicago, Houston, and St. Louis should have won the division. Scratch them. Philly declared themselves in the playoffs in April. Scratch them. That leaves the feel-good Marlins, young team with young stars (this would be good for baseball). And the Dodgers with all their history, pitching (even if they refuse to retire some old Brooklyn numbers). So either one. There. My expert opinion. ![]() |

I also have no emotional attachment to the NL wildcard (my team faded along time ago) however I do feel that the Marlins are a team getting all the breaks at the moment. The Phillies under Bowa are starting to implode and the Dodgers couldn't hit their way out of a wet paper sack, maybe Gagne could pinch hit or something hehe.
With the Marlins pitching and their defense (3rd fewest errors in the Majors) they are never out of it and have enough clutch hitting to scare anyone. You think the Braves and Giants aren't scared of the Marlins? I live in Miami so I see and hear all the games and at first I didn't want to admit it but they are scrappy and full of heart mixed in with some luck.

Let's see... Phillies playing the lowly Bucs and the Fish playing the division-leading Braves. This weekend should just about wrap things up, right?
Well, it almost did, but not in the way that most people expected.
