Favorites Icons Disappeared -- Help!
FOr some reason, after a reboot, all the icons next to my Favorites in I.E. disappeared. I checked in the C:\Doc&Settings\...\Favorites folder and they're all their, but they aren't showing in the left-hand pane in I.E.
I rebooted a couple times and it didn't fix the problem. Stats: XP Pro w/ Service Pack 1, I.E. 6.0 w/ Service Pack, XP2400+ CPU, 768MB DDR333 RAM

Here is a support article that works for 2000. It fixed my problem. It sucks too, but works.

Hell BoCo, mine does that every damn time I restart. The only way my icons ever stay next to my favorites is if I choose them custom from shell32.dll in Windows XP. All icons that are gained from visiting websites disappear and are replaced with that crappy IE icon that's so damn grungy.
I've never known how to fix this; I simply assign all of my webpages on my Favorites list an icon from shell32.dll. They always stay now. -Lasereth

Ashton, you rule. For some reason, when I clicked the link in the auto-reply email after you posted, all my icons came back when IE loaded. Before, it was just a blank space, but now they're back!n TFP has saved me once again.
