Dakota Dakota is an instrumental band, meaning they have no vocals. Don't let that scare you off though. They're extremely good, and extremely relaxing for the most part. They aren't acoustic or anything. They just... it's hard to explain. It's like how some songs have a guitar intro, and then the rest of the song starts. Their songs are like 3 min long guitar intros. Only not hard, although it is electric guitar. The thing I've noticed about Dakota Dakota is that after listening to them it makes the other songs on my playlist sseem stupid and hard to listen to.

Look, just go to their website and DL some of their stuff. Like I said, they aren't even big enough to be on kazaa yet, but if you like what you hear I have some things that aren't on the site, incl. one track that I like a lot more than the 3 they have available.

I'm disappointed that this topic is being ignored... the group is so accessible that I'm almost sure everyone would like them if they gave them a try.

I saw them play in Champaign, Illinois (my hometown) a few months ago!

They were very good. It took me a while to figure out if the drummer was a guy or a girl, but after the first song or so i didnt care - he was excellent. The guitarist and bassist danced around a lot. I have their demo in my cd player at this very moment.

the band are quite talented. Sort of jazzy, fusiony kind of thing, but not faggy sounding at all. Their music is rich with atmosphere and graceful nuance. They are definitely worth supporting - buy their album!

its so neat that someone else knows them!

I'm glad someone else has shown an interest!

I'm not saying I'm some star on the internet or something, but I do post a LOT of places and am known in several different circles, so it's my goal to get the band as much exposure as I can. Right now they're so unknown that they aren't even on kazaa. Once they appear there I think word of mouth will help them start to take off.
