Anyone notice that this show is only funny because about 75% of the people don't know who Howie Mandel is? The contestants always look at him like "why the hell did you just take off your wig and glasses?"

Noticing would require that I watch it - which I make of a point of not doing. These sorts of shows aren't really ever funny, in my opinion.

same. I only have it on b/c i don't have cable and i like to have the TV on while i'm playing games on the computer.

for those of you who remember the cartoon "Bobby's World" - Howie Mandel actually did Bobby's voice
a voice he learned he could do while choking on something

I used to like Howie Mandel. Little Monsters was one of my favorite movies as a kid. He's been really annoying for at least 2 decades though. He had fake reality show which was retarded, Deal or no deal is quite possibly the WORST game show ever. I have no idea why people watch it. Howie Do it is the same as his fake reality show thing. I agree it is funny when he pulls off his costume and they still don't know who he is but the pranks are really only funny to him. Please retire, Howie.

Don't forget he also had a talkshow in the late 90's, for about a week. It's weird that in Hollywod some people, like Howie, get a seemingly infinite number of "chances", while others screw up once and are shunned for life.

This describes his other show, "Deal or No Deal", perfectly, as well.

I liked Howie in the movie "Walk Like a Man", and I liked him in "St. Elsewhere" and some of his 80's stand-up, but the rest? Pffft!
