I dont feel they have some of his best stuff available there. .. but yeah.. its a place to get a smattering of what he has to offer.

I don't like SYL so much as I love December, whose album, "The Lament Configuration," he produced. That's some great work there.

well.. skip SYL then and just get his solo project stuff.... i would start with Ocean Machine if I were u.. and then just get them all after that.. .. heh.

and yes.. the December disc is good. as is the Soilwork he produced.. and the Lamb of God.. ... .etc.

Oh my god, I just started listening to SYL and I am absolutley fucking FLOORED.

I got the newest album and it "meh'd" me. It was heavy... but Kyuss and Sleep are heavier. It was fast, but Mastodon is faster. It was fierce... but that's a drink, so they don't win there either.

^^^Yes... City is the most aggressive, pissed off, heavy music I've ever heard... that is, while still being coherent... it really is a masterpiece... definitely the definitive SYL record...

As far as his solo stuff, my personal fav is Terria, although Ocean Machine is probably the most accessable...
