Towards the end of World War II the staff of SS officer Hans Kammler made a significant breakthrough in anti-gravity.

From a secret base built in the Antarctic, the first Nazi spaceships were launched in late ‘45 to found the military base Schwarze Sonne (Black Sun) on the dark side of the Moon. This base was to build a powerful invasion fleet and return to take over the Earth once the time was right.

Now it’s 2018, the Nazi invasion is on its way and the world is goose-stepping towards its doom.

The script is written by award-winning science fiction writer Johanna Sinisalo (“Not Before Sundown”), and is based on an original idea by Jarmo Puskala. Iron Sky is being produced by Energia Productions, Blind Spot Pictures and Cinet. I am excited about this move. It has Nazis, spaceships, and a trailer with music that is epic on the scale of a James Bond movie intro. Watch the trailer in HD, and just replay the ending scenes with the volume as loud as you can stand.

One day I know we'll meet again under the iron sky...

I liked the preview, but it looked a bit more like a video game than a movie. That, and the preview didn't seem comedic (though the movie evidently is). Did you see Star Wreck? Was it any good?

Bottom line:

Looks fun. I'd rent.

I'm putting it on my list of future rentals. Thanks for showing it to us.
