Hi,

I've been doing raytracing for a long time now and have used it with some success in scientific visualization at work and for fun (no profit though

) At any rate, here's one I did a while back. The molecular objects represent real molecules with real geometries (albeit in a few cases abstracted).

I used POV-Ray to render it, and lots of tools to convert/create the individual molecular objects. The room was based on an existing scene. The tree was created using a fractal tree generator that uses L-systems, and the floor carpet was generated using a Mandelbrot scene creater.

This has been a work in progress, and the current version has a few of my employer's drug molecules in it.
