yes, more information from Steam.com I like when stories are different yet intersect in some fashion, ala Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West (9780060987107) by Gregory Maguire

Not sure if I am missing anything this would touch on not having seen anything of season 2 past Nebraska/Ep. 8, but it still catches my interest in a serious fashion.
I did double check after seeing the recommended system specs and rediscovered that my video card is a 1 GB Nvidia model, so it should look sharp on this computer if I were to try it.

Finished Episode 9. Great buildup of tension between major character and looks like some major fireworks are coming soon enough. should grab the right tags for those that have not been this far yet:
Can't be a good sign when the walkers are that thick in town. All of that gunfire is sure to draw them to the farm that much faster and make the exit from farm fast and non-voluntary. Personally I would have left that Randall kid in town, not a time to be soft.

debated between getting Episode 10 from live action or the graphic novels from itunes and chose the original comics vol 1-6.
Should be interesting to see how those play out early on and how they differ from the television show. I will get back to the television version of Rick & Company soon enough.

Seriously want to watch the next episode to the point where I might just go the AMC website for now. I did find the graphic novel very good and will use these tags just in case someone else out there wants to read it themselves for the first time:
I like how Shane dies in the graphic novel, definitely much earlier than in the TV show. Reminds me of True Blood how the homosexual character is killed very quickly in the books but last much longer in the TV show and probably still around for all I know. Have not seen past the opening of the season 3 opening yet as my interest waned after reading the first two books and liking them more.
I suppose that would make both The Walking Dead & Trueblood "mirror universe" versions of the books which is definitely a good thing in this case.

It gets good enough ratings. I don't have time to play it... but I just bought it anyways...it's downloading now.

Holy shitballs. What a fucking game!!! So far it's very intense, and gut wrenching as any episode I've watched.

This is the exact reasoning I'm debating at the moment, (despite the fact I could have delved into the graphic novels some four years ago, a full year earlier than even knowing about the TV series debut) and I, too, am working my way back into the fold by catching up with the season I missed out on; I'm currently catching up nightly now that I caught up with my favourite podcast, (of the same genre, coincidentally: "We're Alive") I'm going onto episode five of season two, and I'm really beginning to wonder whether all forms of media I subscribe to now (watching thru TV/film, listening thru podcasts/PRX, reading thru comics/textbooks, no video games for me at this time) will eventually have the top genre I subscribe to being something related to zombie uprisings.
It is not there yet, but the likelihood of it happening is ever increasing.

    EDIT:
Wow. Thank you, cynthetiq, for posting your thoughts and opinions on the video game adaptation.
Really has me trying to pry another hour of free time from my mind.

Just finished season two's finale eariler in the afternoon, (unwarranted: I really despise Carl) and I also happened upon this article real early this morning, detailing what is to come.
In the hour-long “Talking Dead” event, shot live in Los Angeles, Hardwick will give fans a first look at “The Walking Dead” Season 3, including a scene from the new season, and brand new video interviews with the cast, a tour of the new set and a sneak peek at the props and wardrobes featured in Season 3. Hardwick will also sit down with in-studio guests including the show’s executive producers and other celebrity fans. At one point during the live show, Hardwick will reveal a special code to viewers, which they can use to enter “The Walking Dead” Watch to Win Sweepstakes, at AMCDEAD.COM. The winner will receive a trip to Atlanta and a “stagger on” role as a zombie on the hit show.

The on-air event will be complemented by activities online at amctv.com, where fans can find more exclusive behind-the-scenes videos and participate in Fan Favorite polls, which cover such topics as Fan Favorite Weapon, Fan Favorite Walker, Fan Favorite Walker Kill and Fan Favorite Survivor. The Poll winners will be announced by Hardwick during the “Talking Dead” live event Sunday night.

The comic serial just recently hit #100 (and this is what it looked like, of course).

Just saw this from the Walking Dead update on Facebook:
    Motion Comic: The Walking Dead
Watch a fully animated version of the beginning of Robert Kirkman’s “The Walking Dead” graphic novel, featuring the voice of Phil LaMarr.

I thought that AMC had the episodes available online but I guess not or perhaps not anymore. Looks like there are three episodes left in season two that I will be getting on itunes.

In October...someone needs to find the date but it was launched and continues to be AMC's Halloween-fest programming. If it helps, they are full-on filming now--16 episodes this season!
