I've been seeing these for quite some time now and was curious to try one.

I've also been asking anyone (in person, not online) if they've sampled one, and I've only heard bad things.

Still, I went and bought a two-pack for supper today and gave it a whirl.

The verdict? Not bad at all. They're a bit small, which concerns me that it might not fill me up enough, but they seem to be slightly cheaper and in the long run, I wouldn't mind cutting back on meat. (This is assuming nothing disastrous happens over the next several years, but that's another topic.)

They taste pretty good, too. I think I'll try to sample a few more and possibly transition over to them completely.

I think I tried a bite of one sometime ago and was impressed by the taste and texture being surprisingly similar to cooked ground beef… but I have yet to have an entire one of my own.

I haven't heard of the Impossible Burger, but I would give it a try with an open mind.

Overall I don't cook anywhere close to vegetarian, but I do some vegetarian meals and have cut back on the amount of meat in others dishes.

I haven't tried it, as I'm a carnivore at heart. Not saying I'd refuse to try it, and I've heard it is better than almost any non-meat burger, but not high on my list of things to seek out.

I consume them. They are regularly provided to me.
I much prefer veggie burgers that aren't trying to be meat.

Any specific brands of veggie burger you recommend?

    Nope.
The ones I used to like have all changed their recipes and cheapened their ingredients so they aren't as yummy.

I will let you know if I come across anything especially fantastic outside of a restaurant.

That's the thing about the impossible burgers though, isn't it? It sort of presupposes that vegetarians would eat meat if only it didn't come from animals, or that non-vegetarians would eat not meat if only it was sufficiently meat-like. Which I think doesn't fully account for the reasons people choose the dietary habits they do.

I've had it. It's fine. I wouldn't deliberately choose it honestly.

But there isn't a poll option for "I don't particularly like or dislike them but won't actively seek them."

I think - no experience - I would prefer my veggie burger to be a veggie patty burger, not a faux meat patty burger.
