Can't Sleep? Try an ASMR video!

In early November of last year I found I couldn't sleep normally anymore- I just lay in bed worrying until I nodded off from sheer mental exhaustion.

Somehow, I then stumbled across ASMR videos- (autonomous sensory meridian response)

Basically, this produces a tingling sensation and supposedly relaxes you. It seems to work on me; at bedtime I find a video and get about ten minutes into it before I start to drift off.

There are many variations, but the one I find especially effective is this channel-
ASMR Bakery - YouTube

The woman running the channel does not speak or add music. It's simply a series of various random objects being manipulated to create soft sounds.

Some of the videos are quite long, so it will take me a while to get through them all. Still, if anyone else finds a good video or channel, feel free to drop it in here!

 

How does this stack up vs. masturbation?

 

I don't like the ASMR videos with clicks and taps. But the female whispering ones that aren't trying to go from one speaker to the other are relaxing.

I perused a video; I need to get used to her whispering; the other YouTuber never talks at all. Still pleasant, and I will probably switch to her channel for a change down the road.

Um, yeah. I tried to watch a random video and my feelings are quite mixed. It's not really relaxing me.


It's kinda unintentionally hilarious to me. Sometimes her expression seems to say, "Are you still watching?"
