But you do have to admit their take on Nixon is pretty spot on.

I have to say I really like Bill.
She has to be one of the more interesting companions we've had in a while.

Her comment on the TARDIS name was priceless.

I also loved that he had pictures of Susan and River on his desk.

I kind of liked Class but I've heard that it didn't do well in the UK so it probably isn't worth getting attached to it.
    This makes me sad.

When they dropped back to a past war I was glad to see it was when the The Daleks were fighting their first enemy the Movellans, kind of disco androids from back in the golden age. They were at a stalemate for thousands of years until Tom Baker showed all you had to do was take their power pack off. [IMG]

I really liked this episode as well, despite the villain being a bit of a rehash of the Waters of Mars.

    Bill shows great promise.

For some reason I thought Dr. Who was produced without interruption, was surprised to see '63-'89, '05 to present.

Yep, thus Nu Who and Old Who.
Eccleston the Ninth doctor was the return of Nu Who with the Eighth, Paul McGann, from the movie in between.

I was hoping for Hayley Atwell but this is just wonderful.
She was great in Attack The Block.

Commence the whining from the fanboys about how The Doctor can't be a woman and they won't watch anymore.
But I think this sums up my feelings.

I was hoping for Haley Atwell or the Doctor's daughter (off hand cannot recall actresses name). However, I'm super stoked about Julie Whittaker and what she'll bring into the role! :D

The Doctor's daughter was named Jenny and was played by Georgia Moffett who is the daughter of Peter Davidson, the Fifth Doctor and is married to David Tennant.

For all my fellow Doctor Who fans:

I laughed until it hurt. It's especially hilarious if you know just how bland a typical Dalek is; they have less personality than your average stormtrooper.

I really enjoyed this Christmas special, at least more than most.
Still not sure why Bill didn't just explain up front that she was one of the good guys doing the collecting (it would have ended the story right quick, I know).
I just loved the first Doctor and look forward to #13.
But seriously, there has to be a rule about not regenerating in the TARDIS.
That has never had good results.

Not sure if I should have posted this in the thread where you bought stuff, but it makes sense to put it here, so...

Any Dr. Who fan who watched the original series will recognize what this is. This particular model has a telescoping head and makes a buzzing noise. There's a cheap plastic version available, but the temptation to own a metal replica was too difficult to resist. (Yeah, it cost me, but I don't have much else in my life that brings me joy anymore.)

Sonic screwdriver, per my wife because I couldn't remember what he called his...universal tool?

I recently won an auction for something very popular in Steam Punk. This one is the real deal, an actual quality product, not something made in China for CosPlay. I just hope it actually works.

Reveal party in a few days.
