Your Springfield sounds a lot like my m&p shield. Nice little concealed carry. I like to train on it, but it's not that much fun at the range. I have my beretta 96, but I'm tired of the 40. And range ammo is a lot cheaper in 9mm, and more pleasant to shoot. That cx4 storm looks like fun. I know I'd run a fair amount of ammo through it. Considering I got my pro model 357 just last year and now this, I'm not buying anything soon. Even though this did not come out of pocket. One of the side perks of my job comes from best in us points. Awarded for certain things in the company. They eventually expire, and I didn't want to fritter them away, so I finally spent 60% of them on a cabelas $500 gift card. Got a nice pair of Merrell hiking boots, and the Stoeger. In other news, my state has turned more liberal, which I generally support. More daycare, more school lunch programs, looser drug laws. But I was surprised by the new 3 day waiting period and our magazines are now limited to 15 rounds.

Digression: I'm a firearms enthusiast and a Democrat. I bite my tongue a lot in gun stores, and at the ammo counter in larger sporting goods stores. Texas isn't about to pass anything in the way of stricter gun laws, or anything to help the less fortunate. Our constitutional carry law wasn't supported by even one single LEA, but it was passed easily.

The CX-4 is a blast to shoot, even one 30 round mag could be a financial drain.

My XD-S isn't unpleasant to shoot, my only complaint is the relatively heavy trigger pull. I could track down a trigger kit, just haven't been that bothered.

What I really need to do is get to an outdoors range to shoot some rifles.

The factory case (used) for my CX-4 Storm arrived yesterday. It included early all of the extras -- cleaner, lock, manual, warranty booklet, sight adjustment tool (useful? -- but was missing the mag loading tool. We have two Uplula loaders that work with the mag.

The original sales receipts were in the case. The CX-4 from Sportsman's Warehouse was about $533.00 in April 2005.
