1. We've had very few donations over the year. I'm going to be short soon as some personal things are keeping me from putting up the money. If you have something small to contribute it's greatly appreciated. Please put your screen name as well so that I can give you credit. Click here: Donations

My first car was a '67 Ford Falcon Futura 4dr, 200cid straight 6. Bought for $125 in 1976. Replaced brakes, ball joints, shocks, repaired floor panels and rear quarters. My dad said you want a car, you'll learn to work on it. Drove the shit out of that car for 4 years and sold for $500. Miss that one, even if it was a 4dr

Which I think was a rebadged Mazda model that wasn't imported into the US as a Mazda. But I might be thinking about earlier Fiesta models.

My first was a '73 Gremlin, which I was given as a hand-me-down in 1990. It was three-speed floor shift with factory a/c. In rural Kansas you could get what they called a 'school permit' at age 14. Drive to school and activities only. Supposedly.;) When I went away to college in '94 my great-uncle (grandma's brother) handed me down his '84 AMC Eagle which I drove for years. The first car I actually bought with my own money, in 2005, was a 2002 SAAB 9-5 Turbo, silver, with stick shift. That was an unassuming looking but very fast car! My brother and I drove straight through from Emporia, KS to Boston in a little under 23 hours , including pit stops.:D
