I went to bed at 1:30 this morning. One of the kittens spent 45 minutes crawling all over me insisting on getting petted.

Now if I could my wife to do that..........

 

So our Brother George has selflessly taken upon himself the role of Taster of Table Waters.

My dad & stepmom's pets, Bogey the Lab and Lima the Cat. I wanted to bring them home with me. I don't think Dad would've minded.





And Benjen and Leia the night we got back. They like Grandma's yard better.

 

New Year's Eve. They didn't understand why we were still awake at midnight.

 

Our Silkie Terror....lets us know at around 11 that it's bed time by standing at the bottom of the stairs and staring up....then a few barks...Us dog people know, THE DOG RUNS THE HOUSE....(I'm not kidding)

 

So.... as of last Friday, we've added a 19 hands high Strawberry Roan Clydesdale to our menagerie. I envision lots of horse slobber in my hair in the upcoming years.

 

My parents have a new family member! This is Otis.






Three years old, Bernese mountain dog / hound mix. Mom says he needs to learn some manners (very affectionate, still thinks he's a tiny puppy.) I cannot wait to meet him.

It was raining yesterday. The pups wanted some attention, and I had a scarf.

Guy that does our random "handyman" stuff around the house fixed the porch gate (and did a really awesome job.) The dogs, especially Benjen, love sitting out on the porch with me, watching the birds and the cars and enjoying the weather. In less than a week, it's become their favorite thing...they immediately get up and walk over whenever one of us even approaches the front door, and they have to be coaxed into coming back in. They're so content and peaceful...unless a squirrel shows up.

 

Molly would bite me if I did that to her.
Molly can lay on the porch for hours, surveying her kingdom and watching her brother spaz in the yard. She becomes hard of hearing when I ask her to come in.

 

April was expensive for me...
