I have an ugly case of tennis elbow keeping me from any weight bearing on my arms for a few weeks. So it will be leg and core hell. Dragonflags suck out loud. Whoever invented Superman pushups should be kicked 4 inches below where they make you hurt. I could go on....

Mean time since no bulking will happen, might as well cut. I've been officially in ketosis for 4 days and am down 7 lbs of retained water and fat. Should be close to my 10% body fat goal in a few weeks.

And I love ketosis, its like a natural high. Mental clarity off the charts. This is your brain on ketones.....lol

It was shaky as all fuck, but I did a single unassisted dip—my first—during my training session this evening. More to come soon, I hope.

I have been walking about 18 miles a week, but have terrible bursitis in my one hip now from falling on ice at the end of February. I'm stretching and icing, still not getting completely better. Dr said he could give me a shot to help.
Does anyone know if shots really work?

    Cortisone shots do help, temporarily.

In a couple of days, it's me vs. this paunch.

My involuntary workaholism should end then. (In theory.)

Martial arts classes start up again in a week, I'm quitting coffee, and I'm going to starting eating less like a kid who's been left alone at Costco overnight.

My goal for personal perfection (as in the best I can be) had a very bad week food wise.

    In part because these things...

Are fucking fantastic, go down fast and are as you can see in the big green label, 170 calories each.

If it doesn't get much better soon I will give it a try.

Well, on the plus side, it has been years since my back has cinched up on me. On the down side, it's been doing it since Saturday. Time to change up for a while, again.

    That article is kinda bad.....

At 1500 calorie slice of cheese cake is about 15 miles of running for me. Yes they are correct that it will vary person to person etc, but it seems the article tries to hard to nitpick. I'm not even sure the point of the article really.

Meaning, that some happen to exaggerate the impact of certain foods.
Either it's a panic attack...attempting to get people to your way of thinking or for effect...or a marketing angle.

Basically, they're saying a single portion of food isn't going to make a difference...it's the overall eating style and workout/output effort, good or bad, that creates the trend. Losing weight or gaining.

The audience that needs that sort of info isn't the one ordering the 1500 calorie cheese cake slice to start with though.

When I was seriously trying to lose weight, that would have been my calories for the entire day. So yes they are correct about over all energy etc, but anyone ordering said cheese cake I will bet is going to be well over their daily calories vrs their TDEE. Especially because said items are usually AFTER too big a meal at a restaurant.

Putting it in terms like 4.5 hours of cardio gives you a real image to a concept many find too abstract to understand for some reason. They could also say for many women eating that would mean you would have to eat nothing for a day to make up for it. Factually correct but harder to understand.

No, it's more about those who over-obsess about calorie intake...or get overly guilty and anxious about it.
Yes...they are already on it...and doing what it takes.
BUT...they are also micromanaging it too much...that's what they're saying, it's not one piece of cheese cake that's going to throw you off and boomerang you back up again.

Sure, those that are doing it often...they're going to be impacted.
What they are saying, is relax a bit...enjoy some non-diet things ...sometimes.
Don't over obsess...don't get crazy about it.
And the science backs up that reasoning.

    That's what they are saying.
