Friend of mine on a text-based browser game we play is called The Swedish Chef.
All he talks throughout the whole game is the Chef's gibberish. It's kinda hard to receive instructions from him when he's leading a raid, but it can get pretty hilarious.

I finished my first install with less than 2 hours of downtime while switching over to the new system. I also got to go balls deep in programming SMC and HP switches, I now know A LOT more about switch programming and VLANs.

Now that my student loan is under $10,000 maybe I could use a combination of checking account and Roth I.R.A to pay the entire thing off at the end of the year. I know a Roth IRA is not to be used for such things, but what else am I going to do with it?

Wait a minute, I thought the new "retire" was living off the $47.43 you get each month from your social security check and the money from your part-time job working at Walmart you have to keep until you are 93 just to afford groceries and the $9.73/gallon gasoline for your car.

It's too bad that it's too late for a nap. I could have used one.

This is the most unprofessional ridiculous fucking mess I have ever worked in in my entire life. How am I supposed to therapy with a suicidal teenager in a room with unbuilt furniture, on folding chairs, and with a door that literally doesn't latch? Yup. That's my new office. If I had my fucking hours, I'd walk the fuck out right now. Already did that to go buy tools because no one could tell me where to get any. They can take their piddly $10 an hour job offer and shove it up wah others' asses. I'm fucking done. Is it october 5th yet?

    Senator 'accidentally' kills secretary

A senator for Mae Hong Son has told police he accidentally shot and killed his personal secretary with a submachine gun in a restaurant in Phrae province, a duty officer at Wang Chin police station said on Monday.

The shooting occurred at a restaurant in Wang Chin district of the northern province on Sunday night, Pol Lt Choosak Poonsawat said.

Boonsong Kowawisarat, 55, and his personal assistant Chanakarn Detkard, 46, were travelling to Bangkok in the senator's car and stopped for dinner at a restaurant on a local road in moo 2 in tambon Mae Keng, Phrae.

While waiting for food, Mr Boonsong took out a 9mm Uzi submachine gun. He told police the gun accidentally discharged and his secretary was shot in the stomach.

Mr Boonsong said he was so shocked by the tragedy that the owner of the restaurant had to take Chanakarn to hospital, where she succumbed to the gunshot wound, Pol Lt Choosak Poonsawat said.

It was not known whether Mr Boonsong knew the gun was loaded before the shooting.

Police have yet to arrest the senator as he is protected by parliamentary privilege.

Just got destroyed by a tenured faculty member for stating that a Freshman university student could be trained to use a smart phone as a valuable scientific tool.

Don't worry, they're still trying to catch up to personal computers. I'm guessing some of them still own an IBM Selectric.

Well, that is what's so great about the Roth IRA, pretaxed, just might have to pay a 10% pentalty on the withdrawal if you don't put directly on the school loan.
Haven't looked at Roth IRA's in a while, now I'm curious.

This is most likely the case. I'm just sick of them complaining about "new technology" and treating anyone who uses it as suspect. This course could be greatly enriched with the mapping capabilities these students have at their fingertips. This faculty member is convinced that if they permit the use of smart phones into the classroom, students will only use it to text and goof off on facebook. I'm sorry, but if you give them a ton of work to do in a short amount of time, the last thing that will be on their mind is texting.
