I love me some kettle style chips. I heard Utz were the best, but I was skeptical. I tried the Sweet Potato ones first, and they were good, but not "WOW that's awesome". Of course I'm not usually a Sweet Potato fan, so I figured that if I even liked them that said something. Once I opened the Dark Russet ones I had to force myself to put them down.

I have a friend who works for Utz, I'll have to see if he can get me a bag. Just for curiosity, have you ever tried Martin's kettle cooked chips?

I do not believe I have. I'll keep an eye out. Before this, my previous favorites were Cape Cod's line of kettle chips.

You can buy them online if you so desire.

I haven't seen Utz in the stores around here but we love Herr's dark kettle-cooked chips. Amazing the flavor a potato has when 'overcooked'

I've had the Cape Cod chips, they're very good. The only problem is they only have them in the giant bags here (or for all I know, anywhere) which is way more chips than I want or need.

Wow, total brainfart. My dad's favorite chips are Gibble's, not Martin's. Those are the chips I know and love. Must have had grocery stores on the brain or something. If you need a chip worth keeping an eye out for, that is the one.

My first thought was on that title what we called "fries" here in the states. Rather odd for me as the only time I was in or near England was on that Med Cruise back in '97. Might have had something to do with re-watching some episodes of the PBS Mystery production Second Sight recently with Clive Owen.
Never have heard of these Utz, Herr, or Cape Cod brands. Are they more east coast brands? Never had heard of the yoohoo chocolate milk either before my stay in Great Lakes in the Mid 90's, at the time they were nowhere to be found in Oregon that I had ever seen along with the Best Buy chain of stores.

Yumm, I gotta get me some of that vegetable oil!!

Up in Canada we don't have any of those chips except for ugly ol' Doritos. Those are the most bland chips on the planet! If I want some Nacho cheese chips I go for the Arriba brand chips, which I see is made by Old Dutch.

I love those kettle cooked chips and those Utz ones look just awesome. That dip sounds fantastic as well!

I like Doritos buffalo and blue cheese. I don't think they make them anymore. I try to stay away from potato chips but kettle chips are sooo yummy.

I had to order more. You can get them in quantites of 3 or more. If you buy a case of 12 you can freeze them, and the price isn't much different than chips at my local grocer.
