Pointless Announcements

Most new members are great. Then some are really, really fucking stupid.

 

This was the final result for a FARK contest that will be hitting the main page there in the next few days. Most of the "interesting" pics were tentacles being used in the oh so creative Japanese way.
The original picture was a delightful looking beach on a beautiful sunny day.

 

I just play with the photoshop contests on there. The overall PS quality on there is still Fark < Somethingawful < Worth1000 for the most part and people use too many cliches but that has always been the case.
I briefly joined those contests a few years ago but my GIMP skills were far less at the time, and now I have both GIMP and PS to play with.

 

then i reached a point of pretending to myself that i would be able to use at least some chunks of the introduction to my dissertation for the introduction to the book. i persisted in this for some days. just now i reread it. it entirely, completely sucks. except for the epigraph. i like that. someone else wrote it.

 

i'm officially homesick.

 

I have the Who's the Boss theme song stuck in my head. Thank you, Baraka_Guru .

And now I feel the need to youtube and sing along with all the 80s sitcoms. Family Ties, Growing Pains, Charles in Charge, Cheers...

 

Geez, summer colds can just take it up the ass for all I care. All I've done for three days is constantly sneeze, cough and blow my nose. Never have had allergies. Bite me.

 

Just keep scrolling because you can't block it.

 

Planning my vacation gives me anxiety.
It's the packing for weather from 40's F at night to 90°F daytime and the 700-mile car ride that spins my wheels. Flip side: I'm fortunate to be able to have a vacation. Maybe I'll have time to play on TFP. I've missed 'here.' (I work on the Internet, almost never play. <sadface>)

Unless you're on some gummint/corporate computer with mega snoopers, you should have at least 4 other windows open with for-your-entertainment material. I'm going to have to ask you to stop pretending like you aren't watching nutty cat videos while on the clock, lady.

 

LOL. I swear, I've never even visited the LOLZ Cats or whatever they are. (Don't have to with the memes.)
I'm extremely jaded about the Internet. Bet I could give even you a run for the money.

 

For a man with no paying job I sure am busy. I swear I had more free time when I went to work everyday.
