Pointless Announcements

Today will either be a business as usual day or a really lousy day. Either way, it's going to be an interesting day.

 

Well yesterday was pretty much a pants on fire kind of day and today opens with a shit storm.

Is it the weekend, yet?

 

Didn't know these were sold outside of Germany. When I saw it yesterday, while doing grocery shopping in that monstrosity called "Carrefour", I had to grab one.

Mmmm.... so good.

 

Sorry, I initially read that as "50 shades of graVy", and immediately wondered if there was a series of poorly-written cookbooks . The recipes should not be taken seriously by any chef, and the reaction of the public would be obvious.

 

Called up my car rental to see for availability of a bigger car than the one I have. While the friendly Arab guy was browsing through their cars to see which ones match my request, I pretended to keep talking with him while my SO was watching.

"Thank you, habibi. Find me a gud car, cuz. We'll turn on the SUBWOOFA and cruise through the city. Yalla habibi, I need a sick subwoofer in my car. Subwoofer yule!"

I got slapped many times and then returned to talk with friendly Arab guy. Mazda 6 on its way now.

 

Uh, Mazda 6?

I've only spent a hot minute in Doob but, if I recall correctly, a Mazda 6 in the UAE is like a seafoam green '94 Tercel with chrome hubcaps in the US.

I'm disappointed you're not pushing an Audi.

 

Hah. I only spend stupid amounts of money while on holiday/business. My SO will have to deal with the lowly Mazda 6.

I also happen to like that car. Screw those lazy Arabs sitting in their S-Class/Bentley/RollsRoyce/etc limousines.

 

slogging through chapter 5 of 5. this may, at some point, end. maybe. i think. it's hard to envision it, though. but i think so.

fucking hell.

 

I bought a new stand to store my bikes. Nice and tidy.

Damn, woke at 3:25 and stayed up until 5. Oh well, nice boring 4.5 hour drive after lunch. Plenty of time to sleep then.

 

This job went from fun to annoying in 2 short weeks. Not coincidentally, that's how long the new boss has been on the job.
