    I update the content on our website. My dean wants our computer people to have TOTAL control over it, so I met with him to devise a plan.

    The plan: When anyone needs to make an update, they go to me with their updates and then I submit a "ticket" to the computer folk. The help desk reviews the ticket and then assigns it to a tech. The tech makes the changes and then emails me to let me know the changes have been made.

    I needed to update an email address, and by that I mean....add a "." to the name of the email address. In the time it would have taken me to email someone my "ticket" information, I made the change. I'm probably going to get into trouble for making something happen MUCH quicker than it would have taken the IT department.

    That's how asinine my job can be.

    i started reading 50 shades of gra/ey. i couldn't get through the first page so awful is the writing. it made me pine for the finely tuned prose of dan brown, minimalist.
