Pointless Announcements

Rain here too Noodle.

 

We've had weeks of rain here, very odd year.

 

Ugh, today outsucks yesterday. Not supposed to happen. My suckiness is in retrograde, Tuesday feels like Monday.

 

I accidentally wore green today. I was just so excited to find the shirt in the back of my closet. Not a smart thing to do when you work for a school that has a rival that is green. ESPECIALLY not on a day where new freshman are coming to campus to register for fall classes.

 

I really kinda want a sammich.

 

Slept for 12 hours, which actually makes me feel kinda bleah. I guess I've gotten used to four hours or less.

 

I am getting absolutely nothing done. Fucking meetings!

A man learning to "paramotor" (fan man?) just ate it on the beach in front of my house. DOA on impact. I heard it but thought it was the man building a palapa next door. He's been making loud noises for 3 days. They came and asked me to help but after one look I knew he'd broken his neck and had likely died the minute he hit. All I can say is I hope he was doing something he loved. I'm certain he didn't suffer but his friends and family are understandably distraught.

 

In addition to snoring, the Old Man apparently also has sleep apnea.
Black Creek is over record heights... more than 25' too high. I've been stuck in traffic for 30m, having gone 2.3 miles. Rock. On.

 

At least those colleges have good colours schemes and decent masocts. I have always had at least a passing interest in both schools, probably because they are both in my home state.
The teams here in the palouse area have lousy colours and worse mascots.

in unrelated news, the almost 4 year old has informed me in her own fashion that My Little Pony on Netflix Streaming is so very exciting.
and the 5 year old decided that she felt like mopping the floor.

 

God noodle. That SUCKS!

 

I hydroplaned coming down off the bridge about 17 minutes later, but recovered okay without any major problems.
S is currently on the other side of town, where he went to offer support to a friend who lives about 25' above the creek level.
Fairly sure he's stuck there. There's talk about shutting down the bridge I went over and they're evacuating people by boat that live lower than our friend. Creek's closed because the water is moving too fast. The photos from around town are nuts.
I didn't get home until 7pm... but with a 15 minute stop in Whole Foods.
So about an hour and 40 minutes to go 28 miles tonight. It's really bad. Roads are collapsing, the interstate is shut down in places... I don't know how uncle phil, KirStang, EventHorizon and mixedmedia are doing, but this is rapidly approaching major suckage.

 

Colorado is on fire and Florida is sinking. Where's a good ol'fashioned TeeVee nutbag, err, preacher to tell us God is mad at us?
