I saw the earlier pics, but this one with it sitting in your garage has a more "yours" feeling to it.

I absolutely HATE when people pull that stunt, especially in a business setting. I have a single contact that does that and I want to scream at him every time I see him in person and he acts so pleasant. First, there is no need to be that condescending, aggressive, or down right idiotic in the first place. But if you ARE going to go to those lengths on the phone or in an email, at least have the spine to act the same way in person. There are few things that I hate more than someone who will rip you from afar but is all sunshine and roses when you are near.

Actually, he can be pretty volatile in person, too. In fact, it's hard to tell just what exactly will set him off on any given day. I think he realized that he went too far during our last phone conversation, though. During this call, after about 10 minutes of bullying, I told him that our doc is not able to assess and treat his dog's condition over the phone. This bit of information set him off on a tirade of expletives and abuse that ended with me hanging up on him. I mean, I don't get paid enough to deal with that bullshit. Sad thing is, his dog is really sick and he doesn't have the money to give it the care it needs, so I understand completely that he is upset. So, I try to remain patient with him...within reason.

Just tell yourself it's for the dog. I feel bad for pets who have idiot owners.

It's always about the dogs with me. Or the cats. :)
I think that's how I manage to deal with that job as well as I do. I get told at least once a week, 'I don't know how you can stand your job' in one variation or another, lol.
In reality, most times I really love my job.

I love the smell of sunbaked pavement in the rain.

We had a good night out. Ran into some friends while we were out and about, hung out with them for a bit to celebrate the completion of one's Master's defense, and then after they headed out for a party, we got together with some other friends. I am so ready for bed.

  12. Dont forget to include the lovely male model. Does it trouble you to think that if you were out with Stanley in his side car and dropped it - crowds would rush to Stanleys aid - would tear right past you in the gutter to get to Stan the Man.

My day is starting off shitty. Took my prescription to the chemists - has not been signed and everything like doctors will be closed till weds. Any home recipies out there for Ramipril and Amlopidine?

Do not like "awake at 3:30 am" concept.

Woke up at three in the morning craving some cereal, walked in the kitchen to hear my cold water pipe pissing water.
Why does this always happen on the weekends?

  15. Or even at 4:30.

Fell back asleep around 5, up again at 7.
Have to write a 20 page psych eval and a shortish paper on critical events in supervision this weekend. And pet sit some kittehs, hit the Arts Market this morning for veggies, dinner with friends tonight at Poe's Tavern, happy hour tomorrow with our euro traveler friends. I hope to get a nap this afternoon and more sleep tonight, if this is all going to happen.

I bought a spatula just to put on ointment and spreading it around my back. Finding a comfortable sitting/laying position for the last two days has been really interesting. Do I take the cross legged position, the sideways pose or just float around like a monk?

Wow.... I suppose you can take the boy out of suburbia but you can't take suburbia out of the boy....

I just had dreams of suburban nostalgia interlaced with urban realities. The urban encroached on the suburban until it disappeared and I was left to find my way home in a strange urban landscape.
