Watched the very last House... cried like a baby. A wonderful ending to one of the best shows I have ever had the pleasure to have watched.

THANK YOU HUGH LAURIE, ROBERT SEAN LEONARD, OMAR EPPS, jESSE SPENCER AND ALL WHO HAVE GIVEN US SUCH A WONDERFULLY INTELLIGENT AND ENTERTAINING SHOW.

Perhaps, we shall see a reunion show in the future, there was a very slight chance left for one. If not, thank you for 8 wonderful years.

I did find it funny that they had on every major actor and actress from the show's past on EXCEPT Lisa Edelstein (Cuddy). She left because she didn't want to take a pay cut that final season and yet, where is she now? Something tells me she wasn't exactly the most liked of the actors/actresses on the show.

    SPOILER:

some of the other cast were more optimistic. Many already have shows lined up for next year. If that truly is the very last we ever see of Dr. Gregory House, then it was a great ending seeing him ride off into the sunset with Wilson.

If I can get this on Netflix in some form then I start might from season 1 and see what I think of it, it was a bit odd hearing Hugh Laurie with an American accent in the few brief clips I have seen but he is no doubt excellent in the show.

I cannot think of another actor that could have done a better job. How many American actors fake British accents, just to get a job and fail miserably? Laurie showed that a Brit can successfully do an American accent and do a damn good acting job while he is at it.

  5. I thought the finale was a bit cliche... well written and acted, but almost predictable.

In a way it was, but so was the whole show. As my sister said every episode went, unknown illness, House shows he's a prick, team does tests and patient gets worse, 55 minutes into show someone says or does something House zones out and figures what disease is saving patient. They had a great formula that was well written and acted.

Personally, and I said this before in my mind the perfect ending would have been like a St Elsewhere ending where House was suffering from a form of unknown mental retardation, Wilson was his brother who was caring for him, Foreman/Chase/and all the others were doctors trying to help diagnose House. Cuddy was Wilson's ex-wife driven off by House because of his condition. THAT would have been creative.

Actually Brit Andrew Lincoln who plays Southerner Rick Grimes of The Walking Dead does a good job.
It's amazing the difference of his character's voice versus his real one

As a person who's wife has Sjogren's, RA and Lupus
as well as a variety of other obscure illnesses, syndroms, situations, etc. over the past few...

We have had a ball identifying all the same things she has/had, that has popped up on all the episodes.

/it's like a game to us by now...and yes, at times, it IS Lupus.

Of course it wasn't lupis, it was when those walkers overran the hospital and Dr. House barely out made it out alive himself. He also somehow picked up a mysterious very authentic sounding Britsh accent after emptying several clips from a machine gun after fighting his way out through the hordes....Muttering something about "It's about time we had a Brit as the heroic lead fighting the undead horde"..........

I don't think anyone on the show ever died from lupus. This season was kind of dry and slow at times, not much Wilson or Foreman. Cuddy wasn't missed much though.

I can see how people lost interest the past few seasons, it was repetitive and character driven and sometimes the peripheral characters seemed to just not go anywhere or develop into much more when you as a viewer could see that a certain character should be allowed to breakout and have more meat in the script.

I felt the same way every time they said sarcoidosis. I learned more about my disease watching the show than from many of my real doctors. There was also an episode that I could relate to where the "disease of the week" was caused by an infection that went into the brain. I forget how or what part of the body the infection came from, but it was pretty close to what I went through.

    Actually we were fortunate.
We found a real-life House...a true diagnostician...and very much a proponent of my wife & her well being.
Unlike House, he does have a good personality...but he does call my wife on her bullshit. (everyone lies...or in denial or neglectful)

She's often in contact with him.
But it does take MUCH longer to figure things out than on TV. Months instead of minutes.
And he won't deal with insurance...so it's cash out of pocket...then WE have to submit a claim with insurance. (what fun that is)

But I wouldn't ever trade the ability of him to figure out things that others can't
And he's beaten the calls & opinions vs. the best of the best. (Johns Hopkins Chairman of Depts, Global Specialists, NIH professors, etc...)
We've gone through 30+ doctors...he still gets it right in the long run.
Environmental, when we happen to inadvertently moved next to a previous Military Biological Warfare testing lab...and more...
He's had to account for all...EVERYTHING counts. (just like the show...)

Absorbing all the info from all the docs and test and methods, etc...you should see her file.
Hell, he can even tell us which month is her worst...so now we're looking into what may be affecting her then...and resolving that.

This man is uncanny and incredible.
But you've got to have TONS of patience, this is not Hollywood. (it is not flash or beautiful, humans are human too)

But we've come to appreciate all the things the patients and doctors go through on the shows...the body & life are VERY complicated.

I enjoyed the series, but the series finale would have been better if House died.

I had a 75% accuracy rate diagnosing people on the show. Watched it for pure entertainment value. The last two seasons were incredibly annoying, except for the Asian chick and the excellent way that O'Captain portrayed the cancer patient. Of course they wouldn't kill House. They'll resurrect something when they need another show to replace the Alcatrazes of the tv world. I'm not surprised, but I was a little disappointed with some of it.

Naw, like Noodle says, even IF Mr. Laurie denies House will be back, many, many actors and actresses have stated the same thing, only to come back for a reunion (Leonard Nimoy and William Shatner are prime examples). They are even bringing Dallas back. Give it a few years when everyone's star has fallen a peg and they become "hey weren't you that doctor in House?"

I highly recommend getting the TV Guide with House on it (Last week's), it covers some of the actors ideas of what a reunion would be like, from Robert Sean Leonard's silly version to Hugh Laurie's where House is a Bohemian artist in the village.

I think in 5 maybe 10 years they'll revisit House in some form, I have a feeling, someone somewhere connected to the show's creative staff is outlining a reunion movie/pilot now or will be at some point this Summer. As long as some executive believes there is still money to be made on House, there will always be rumblings.

Just like Monk, they left it open for a reunion. Will Monk be back? I think in some form when Shaloub is done on Broadway and his kids have grown up, he will get a yearning to revisit Monk in some form. One can dream. Again, he was one who stated, unequivocally NO there would not be any reunions. The difference between Monk and House is Monk had books out there, much like Dexter has had. A lot of money in that franchise left to be made.

As TV Guide pointed out the ratings had been slipping the past few years and maybe it was just time for the show as we know it to end. Whatever the future brings, that show was one Hell of a refreshingly new and original ride, with characters one could truly care about or hate.

  16. I'd like to see House return as an advice columnist, like Ann Landers was.

    Dear Greg,

Recently, one of my fingers fell off. I eat well, don't drink and have certainly never been to Bolivia. Even if I had gone to Bolivia, I would not have partanken of the water and contracted a parasite. Ever. Seriously. Can you tell me what might have cause my finger to fall off. Is it lupis?

    Sincerely,
    Nine fingers in Syracuse

I loved it. I was bitching the whole time he was laying there talking to Cutner (sp?) because I wanted Amber (she was always my favorite character) and then she showed up, I was actually bouncing on the couch and squeeing. I loved Cameron trying to convince him to just give up and die, I loved Wilson at the funeral and I loved that Chase came back to head the team.

I've watched this show religiously since the very first episode and have loved the fact that my little known disease crops up from time to time (hemochromatosis), so many people know so little about it, its like woohooo someone remembers there are people that suffer with this!!

Im sad its over, but it had run its course, at least we got an ending, unlike some shows I like that get cancelled out of the blue.

    Dear Frodo,

I think Gollum bit it off. It's never Lupus.

    Dear Greg,

Cuddy's rabbit done died before you ran through her house. Does this mean you'll have to have a "reunion" to square up who the father is?

    Yours sincerely,
