i dont understand quite why i am so addicted to this.
i suppose that's how addictions work.

Bought the LP for this one song several years back and it is not bad at all.

 

This one just came up during my random iTunes shuffle. Sa-weet!

 

Saw her live at Blues Alley months before she died

 

Didn't take the time to find it on youtube obviously, and the "not bad at all" comment was referring to the entire album if that was not clear. The "escape" song is first on the album and the next one on there is the title track "Partners in Crime" which is about a young girl in New York City who is "underage and she's underweight. And she's one month hooked and she's two month late." that is also working on the sidewalk.
Just looked and cannot find it on youtube, I did find this song that is on the LP as well though:
