You have to cover them both with your red Swingline stapler and decide which is the real one. Ask them pertinent questions only the real student should know.
Be careful, though, the fraud will usually be a wily one and know how to answer in a certain way as to obfuscate the answer and somehow sound like the real deal.
It's probably better to shoot the one most willing to give the other one up as the bad guy.
Or, you could just shoot them both, and if one bleeds green, then you know you've got the right one. In which case, you can quit your job and go on the road showing your knew alien captive off on the talk-show circuit.
I hear there's beau-coup dough to be made in guest appearances.

If, though, you still can't tell which is which, you might better call the local clean-up squad to come and dispose of them both. They both may be compromised.

Shooting them both is too logical, that is why you have to follow your human side and let the two of them fight it out.
