Got majority of the weeding done...now going to sit out on the patio and read for awhile.

My nephew with Jackson Memorial Drumline were invited to play at Levon Helms funeral on Friday. They sent a charter bus for the 15 students to travel up to Woodstock, NY. They created a special performance for grave side and later got to jam with all the Levon musician friends in Levon's personal studio. Pretty Awesome! My sister is going to send me pictures. There are a few on FB. Bye Levon...

 

I still do not know who this Levon Helms was in any practical sense, but that is really special and the kind of memories you never forget.

got to watch the doc drain an abscess in a cat about the size of an orange today.
fascinating and distressing.

 

I saw some brief information about this Levon fellow when I first read about his death, but this group he was associated with must be in that same category as Pink Floyd in the "I scarcely know anything about it/them". I can name all of two Pink Floyd songs and nothing from "The Band", but may have heard something they released at some point in my life.

 

Totally banked at work today. Rockshow.

 

Had a kid at work with a huge abscess near his nasal cavity.

They drained two shot glasses worth of pus from his skull.

I had no idea the human face was capable of such distortions.

 

it was a river of pus. it just kept flowing and flowing.
and this had accumulated in a period of just two days.
don't fuck with pus. see your doctor.

 

Yeah, I can't tell you how many times I get caught up in abscess clips on YouTube. It's some scary stuff.
If you have the stomach for it one day, look up cow abscess on there and just marvel at the buckets coming out of the poor animal.

 

Wow, first good nights sleep in a long time. Up and feeling energetic this morning.

 

Was going to get breakfast, then for some reason starting thinking of abscesses and now don't have the stomach for it... Probably a good diet tip in there, somewhere.
