Yeah the HoF selection system is a load of crap. They only allow a certain number of players in every year so legendary people that changed the game in it's formative years are swept aside so they can put in the newly eligible guy that everyone has heard of.

hey all-

this is neither here nor there, but i like to switch between dvd-by-mail and instant viewing, and i couldn't find a way to browse the instant viewing catalog while switched to the mail service on the netflix site... so i called customer service and they gave me this site....

I watched MArwencol tonight which expires on 04-20-2012. One hell of a movie especially if you like docs or are interested in mental illness.

 

I've been wantong to watch Rango now that it's on Netflix streaming. Anyone seen it yet?

Rango was my favorite movie of 2011, but I don't see how the quality of it streaming would do justice to the Blu-Ray, which was one of the highest quality discs I've come across to date.

 

My wife has not seen Rango yet and wants to so...win! Sleeping Beauty....I'd check that out.

 

i saw a badass movie yesterday on netflix called "Guy-X". it started out looking like a goofy comedy but then it gets pretty serious and the acting is top notch. it has jason biggs from american pie and the mom from californication. it isn't the most "wrapped up" ending but it's very worth watching.

 

It was not bad looking at all on my 60hz 1080p 40" tv.
I was happy to see Knight Rider back on instant streaming recently. Generally good corny fun that ranks up with there the A-team and airwolf. And it teaches you that KARR can sit buried in the sand on the beach for two years and come out in damn near perfect shape with fresh oil, tires, etc.

 

Man when I was 10 I thought pro wrestling was real, the General Lee could jump anything and KITT could be installed in the family minivan by next Christmas. Don't know if I was an extra gullible child or that was how everyone was in the 80's. Who keeps putting all those dirt ramps all over Hazzard County?

I remember KITT once trying to outrun Bigfoot, who was the "bad guy" in one particular episode. Now I realize Bigfoot's top speed is probably about 40 mph and it would run out of gas after about half a mile. Ah, memories.

 

That would be Hazzard County/Eastern Bloc Country of choice/or even part of South America depending on the show and how they wish to use it.

 

i saw a goofy comedy called "the ramen girl" the other day. it was pretty meh-tastic but it whetted my appetite and i went back and watched both gung-ho and mr. baseball. it turns out i have a thing for movies where an american is trying to adapt to japan and the japanese are treating the american like a lunatic. i just get a kick out of it.

anyway, besides these and the last samurai, can y'all think of any other stranger in a strange land themes on netflix i might like?

The best movie I've seen on Netflix lately was "The Nines" with Ryan Reynolds.
