    I need to figure out how to tell my downstairs neighbor's that their tv is so loud I can every word of every show. And it is on from 9:00pm-6:00am.

    I got an early birthday present. An ebook reader for my trip to Cuba next month. I've got 177 books on it so far. That should be enough. I think I'll put all my MP3s on it too.

  6. Damned HDMI input on my TV is not responding. Worked Friday, but when I wanted to resume viewing on Saturday: no signal. WTF! Now I have to find a different excuse for not addressing that pile of paperwork I brought home Friday night.

    What do you want to bet Plan9 doesn't have any Cap'n Crunch to go with his Captains of Crushes?

    Wow. You're kidding, right? Something as fancy as Cap'n Crunch is way too pricey!

    Huge bowl of steel cut oats with butter and brown sugar. I'll be full for about half an hour, then I'll start thinking of lunch. Who'm I kidding? I'm thinking of lunch right now.

    Yeah, I stick to Lieutenant Crunch, myself. I've got a budget to think about.

    No, seriously... I only eat high fiber, high protein, high yuppie cereals.

    so my dog has been on prednisone for a little skin condition (he's doing a lot better).
    but, it makes him thirsty and, consequently, makes him pee a lot.
    so this morning, ignoring all of his well-placed and earnest cues, I decided to enjoy a little coffee before taking him outside.
    then I decided to refill the cats' food and water bowls, which I was carrying back over to their spot when behind me I hear a sound like a water hose emptying onto my carpet.
    so I shriek, put down the bowls and grab a couple of towels from the freshly washed stack on the sofa and throw them under him.
    he peed for a full minute like that. he must have a huge bladder.
    so I cleaned it all up and threw the towels in the washer.
    and at that point was surprisingly kind of happy that I would, then, be able to sit down and enjoy a full cup of coffee before taking him for a walk.
    poor boy. wasn't his fault. but he was all mopey and sad-faced after that. humiliated.
    bad mommy.

    This might merge with my previous post...

    I have to rant and post this here, cause if I did on facebook, my cousin, his bride to be, and the rest of my family would see this and give me shit.
    <begins rant>
    Why the fuck would you have TWO bridal showers? Are you THAT conceited and adamant to keep the families separate?! Or are you so fucking GREEDY that you want double the gifts from your family, you selfish bitch!?
    I mean, you and him are poor as shit, as is the rest of the family, yet you insist on making it a 400 person wedding. You need a house, idiot. You fucking ANNNOYYYYY ME!
    Welp, if I could, I wouldn't go to either bridal shower. I definitely won't go to both. And I certainly won't cry if I'm not invited at all. In fact, I'm still hoping no invitations for anything related to your wedding come to me.
    My family is fucking crazy. It's all my mom and aunts talk about. RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE
    <end>

    Okay, now take a deep breath; go to a galaxy far, far away; and kill some motherfucking Jedis who had it coming and don't realize they're about to get got.

    Brides don't often have a choice as to how many they have. I've had friends/acquaintances that have had as many as 3--one for family, one for friends, and one for coworkers, all because different people had to throw them a bridal shower. My sister-in-law had to have two because her cousins wanted to throw her a bridal shower separate from the one my mother-in-law gave.
