your first comment is one of those generalizations mentioned earlier... while hetero guys obviously wouldnt typically find a penis, or similar type of penetration as an arousing prospect, for some, a little bit of playing around on the woman's part isnt the end of the world... especially during a BJ/HJ... its just not one of those things ya talk about, lol...

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I've been interested in catching from a woman ever since I learned about the prostate. It's very enjoyable. I've had two girls ask for it. The first time it kind of wierded me out, however, being curious and horny I tried to oblige her but she started screaming and we didn't have any lube so I called it quits. It was awkward. Well, it's probably a much different experience, physically, for the woman. Better or worse? Probably worse in the physical sense (lack of clitoris at entrance to anus and not as much "give" in the structural design) but doing it in the dirty place has it's own psychological merits, as you've pointed out.

My wife & I haven't done anal (her receiving) is quite some time, at least a few years, and even "back then" it wasn't something we did very often.

For the most part, slow & easy was the preferred method for her. She got some pleasure from it, but for her to orgasm during anal usually required a couple of things, singularily or together. She liked doing her vagina with a toy at the same time, a 'faux' double penetration so to say (she says that one of her fantasies is to try DP for real). Another is 'dirty' talk, not the vulgar kind, more like of me giving a description how much I'm enjoying her ass. The DP method worked best, esp when combined with talking.

There were a few times when I was able to 'give it all I've got' in terms of vigorous thrusting, and sometimes she was able reach orgasm without any other stimulation. Neither happened very often.

Some people mentioned the 'extra' tightness of the anus/rectum. I've never noticed that except at the start; once she relaxes, her ass isn't much different from her vagina (in terms of tightness). With that said, her vagina is unusually tight, based on my limited experience with other women, how she literally clamps down, and even doctors & nurses have commented on it.

Why did we try it? A combination of many factors--Curosity, being openminded & horny, the 'naughty' factor, seeing it in porn/reading about it in porn/erotica (emphasis on reading erotica), etc. The usual reasons most folks want to try it is my guess.
