Ended up buying a $30 canon multi function inkjet thing yesterday as it was cheaper than for now than buying a new toner cartridge for my laser printer. Nice little printer (colour at that) and the 1200x2400 scanner is the same resolution and scanning bed as the 12+ year old HP scanjet I used to have that decided it did not like anything past win2k.
They charge (all pre-tax) $94.94 at the local staples for a new toner, $64 at cartridge world for a remanufactured, and $39 on an internet site for a remanufactured (one of those annoying spams that might have actually worked in this instance) with free shipping.

 

How can it not be a good day after viewing all the images mixedmedia posted?

In other news, my three year old can move icons on the iPod touch effortlessly and erase her favourite colouring app (free fortunately) but I have to do a google search to figure out how.

 

The printer's cheaper than the replacement ink cartridges!

 

just about. I checked the ink costs first and Walmart sells them for $13 for black and and $22 for colour. I got the %10 discount on the actual unit and also get that off for the ink when needed.
I plan on doing 90%+ of my printing still on the laser Samsung, but this scanner will be getting heavy usage and was worth more to me than I paid for it. It has decent software and scans to lossless TIFF which is a very high priority to me.

 

I, for one, look forward to you making EventHorizon realizing that gravity works for him too on his firey plummet to Earth.

Just listened to part of the Susan Boyle Britian's Got Talent audition on the youtube clip and it failed to hold my interest. Good voice and I don't care how she looks one way or the other, but still completely uninteresting.

Unfortunately you might end up with naked pictures of Kirsten Stewart. Of course those would have longer lasting "artistic merit" than any of her awe inspiring deeply emotional roles so far. At least her own "Blue Steel" look mixed with the "moping on camera" thing paid nicely.

 

I think I needed rugby..... I don't feel like killing the receptionist today and she has her super loud shoes on and is slamming drawers more often than usual. It's very therapeutic. I'll be Mary Fucking Poppins when tackling practice starts.
