How do you respond to someone out of the cyber world that you knew in high school that sends you a message like this “I have been checking you out for a while and want to get to know you better. I look into your eyes on every photo I can find and dream about how nice it would feel to touch and lick your…” ? Say what? Creeper? How would you respond when it is someone you knew from the past that really was never in your life?

Yes indeed! Just creepy. Different feeling though when it's someone you never knew compared to a person from school.

I'd go with no response. Except maybe blocking that person. That's just too creepy.

depends on how i'm approched by it. if it's some cutie who was really shy back in the day, yeah i'll chat for a bit, but distance being the emotional condom that it is, i don't let things get carried away

Just curious, how many years out of high school are you? Are we talking 5 years or 25 years?

It is creepy that the original message isn't there, yet everyone else knew what to talk about.

The original message is there, it's just in a font colour that doesn't appear on my screen (apparently yours as well). If you see a blank like that, just highlight it with your mouse.

Ah, I fell for the hidden ink trick.

Yeah, I use the white background so it didn't show up. oops.

  15. Blocking was the best option. Perhaps he has a crush on you, but he has very poor manners at the very least. Certainly creepy behaviour. Avoid him and hope he gets the message.

Yeah, going to have to agree with you on that.

Agreed. I reckon 'ignore' or 'blocked' was a very good idea. I'm reminded of a thread Poetry did on the last forum about appropriateness of early contact on social media sites.

definitely stepping into the creep boundary there... especially after 35 years...

  20. Perhaps an attempt at recapturing his lost youth now he has realised he is over half way to the bone yard. Certainly not your problem if he is having a mid life crisis. He should have got a sports car.
