Here's a good way to lose both your BIG companies, even all the small ones.
The boards have something to say...and they don't like insanity and disturbances to the force or even worse business, reputation and the bottom line.

Theirs are the responsibility to the stockholders. NOT Musk.
And a bit of ego too, let's be real. (it IS the equivalent game of King of the Mountain, many want to take down the one on top)
And Elon's playing with fire and gasoline.
And Chump and the dynamics around him are the gas.

If Chump loses, Elon will lose more than an ally.
Mark my words.
He's been rockin' the boat too much and getting people pissed off.

Trump's 25% tariffs on Mexico and Canada go into effect tomorrow (unless they don't ).

This will cause an economic slowdown across North America, and the net benefit will be less than zero.

Not surprising coming from the same kind of people who think trickle-down economics is actually a thing.

Just listened to Trudeau's remarks on the tariffs. Ugh. This is such stupid stupid stupidity.

 

It was a great speech. But a throughline was that this is going to hurt. I have no reason to think he's lying.

My opinion on Trudeau overall is mixed. He's not as bad as some corners of the internet would have you believe. There's been a pretty steady drip of evidence that a presistent smear campaign is being influenced by foreign actors.

 

For all his faults, at least Doug Ford isn't fucking around when it comes to Trump's tariff policy.

As one measure, he instructed the LCBO to remove American alcohol products from the shelves. The LCBO, one of the biggest purchasers of alcohol in the world, temporarily suspended their entire website while they delisted all these products.

I do believe this is what the kids call "FAFO."

 

Transportation Canada is looking into this.
