    Read about a blood test for colon cancer not sure when it may be available, colonoscopy is not without risk memory issues from anesthia, possible puncture, etc. Weigh all options carefully

    You have to take care of yourself in order to take care of the littles.
    In social support we talk about how we need to put on the oxygen mask first in order to help others with theirs.
    Take care of yourself and don't feel bad about it.

    An appropriate analogy here is that of oxygen masks when there is an emergency on a plane. You must have yours on first, before you can help those who can’t manage completely on their own. The natural reaction might be to help someone else first, and think you can endure. But eventually, you run out of oxygen, and everyone is in more trouble. It’s an absolute must to manage your own mental, emotional, and physical health in such a way that you can be capable of helping those who need it. Or eventually, everyone is in more trouble
