Politics Trump - What has he done now???

I think Trump might think going to jail will give him a benefit in the election. It might with his base, but I can't imagine it would help with independents where he needs traction... I think that independent traction is gone.

It's bizarre to me how many law and order conservatives I know who are blowing this off.

I can only imagine the shit storm we would have if a Dem POTUS had done what NPD Trump did, & does.

Let's hope the maga losers who are chronically desperate for attention are skewing the polls to innacurately show Agent Orange 45 is doing well.

I feel virtually certain that if Ivanka had purchased a handgun during a period she was struggling with addiction, Trump would have told her to plead guilty so he could immediately pardon her and be done.

Tiffany? Maybe maybe not so much...

Trump’s Lawyers in Panic Mode, Move to Suppress Damning Evidence In Latest Legal Bombshell

Multiple Trump Witnesses Have Received Significant Financial Benefits From His Businesses, Campaign

All I can say is, "duh"
    Of course he did.
He's been doing it for years.

Quid pro quo are his bullets in his holster. (almost machine gun volume)

My question isn't that he's done it...it's that no one has gone after him for it.
The pornstar case is just the tip of the iceberg.
He'd keep AG's busy for years.

    Yet, he slips on by.
I know he's slimy but he must be made of Crisco.

He's made a laughing stock of the whole system.
    Gaps galore. :confused::oops::rolleyes:

Of course many of those were rewards for loyalty, for not telling everything they knew. Any reasonble person, even a reasonable Republican, can see the distinct possibility in some cases.

As the PP article states, proving intent would very difficult. Tracking the intent back to Trump directly might be nearly impossible, there are too many layers of plausible deniability (Trump, or at least some of his people, aren't stupid, the Stormy Daniels payoff aside).

I'm sure many of the loyal people outside of Trump's direct control were compensated by wealthy Trump supporters.

This does bring up a question I have, why is Counselori Giuliani constantly hurting for money? I'm guessing it's a mix of his lifestyle and his very significant legal expenditures greatly exceeding his diminishing income.

    This is related...sort of.

People who are completely serious, and even some who are not so serious, about gun owners rights support the GOP in general. Many of those people are dedicated to MAGA and NPD Trump.

What they don't see is Dictator Trump and his fellow Maga-Nazis will realize allowing everyone to have guns is a bad idea for a dictator. They will follow the plan of divide and conquer. The chosen elites will be allowed to be armed, & will be used to help disarm the general populace. Eventually only the select few Maga-Nazis will have the guns, leaving the lesser people to suffer under NPD Trump's regime.

Obviously the above is farfetched, at least in the sense that NPD Trump would need more than four years for successful progression of his policies. At least I hope the US wouldn't fall apart that rapidly, but given what we've seen since 2016 it's possible.

From what I understand, there's no proof that the poster is related to a juror and apparently has the profile set up as some kind of "professional shit poster." I think it's already been acknowledged that it wasn't a real statement, but the consensus seems to be that the judge is bringing notice so that it cuts down the ability to use this issue on appeal.

Thank you for the clarity. Guess I'm starting to get triggered from all the other manipulations on the cases and courts.
They're pissing on our system and a sense of justice.

They are indeed assholes. I'm sure his team will file something, but I'm more worried about the Supremes trying some funny business. Those people are a real problem.

My first thought was, "I hope this is proven to be BS."

My second thought was, "Did The Powers That Be plot to get this overturned, probably thrown out completely?".

The last eight years make question everything.

And I grew up during: Vietnam, Agnew, Nixon, Watergate, the Ford pardon, the Iran Hostage Crisis (including Wussy Carter, and the scandal that later came to light), Raygun, the S&L fiasco, Iran-Contra, Hilary's amazing investments, Bill's BJ, etc, etc.

Trump plans to claim sweeping powers to cancel federal spending

And yet another, Constitution defying tyrannical plan.
They're popping up everywhere it seems.
    WTF is going on???

Why isn't this trend being shouted from the rooftops?

I guess I'll have to go back to my previous philosophy, if he wins...then as long as he doesn't use nukes...everything else is repairable.
But oi...the damage that will happen.

    A possible positive...
Many Repub politicians & voters will see how this would hurt their pork barrel programs, & act accordingly. Hey, it could happen .

Trump will never cut that federal spending. He wouldn't be allowed to. He might talk about it, but he would never do it.

tRump would have to exhaust his appeals in New York first before he can take his case to the Supreme Court (If I understand the procedure), and the case was pretty much watertight. Still, if he wants to flail around clutching at straws, he can knock himself out.

Delay, delay, & delay some more; that is NPD Trump's MO. The number of steps doesn't bother him, as long as he has attorneys willing to do the legal work. Remain free until after the election is goal one, try to get the case to the SC is goal two, while playing the old man card for sympathy after the election (he has his pride, yes, but he's not completely stupid).

Trump probation interview set for Monday after hush money conviction

    This should be interesting...

    Wonder if he'll freak?
    He'll certainly give a speech.

Wonder if his probation officer will be intimidated by MAGA or other ultra right supporters?
That wouldn't be good. POs take that shit seriously.

He has to announce whatever drugs he's taking. Perhaps take a drug test.
He cannot associate with anyone with a criminal record. (ex: Steve Bannon)

And media needs to stop calling it a hush money trial when it was falsifying business records.
Just like when his company was found guilty in a civil trial for massive fraud.
    They're forgetting that.
