Expert: Hearing shows Judge Cannon “learned from her prior blunder” — which could be bad for Trump

Which is funny...this article and expert are saying a different tone, saying she's skeptical of T's arguments to delay indefinitely.
And that she's learned from her previous case.

Sounds like she'll go beyond December, but will likely do something in the Spring.
    Still DRAGGING this along...

The wheel is a spinning, playing a game of American Roulette.

The only thing that I can hope is that they find even more to tack on to the case in the meantime
and that the timing does the most damage to him.

Of course, I just want the bastard behind bars.

I've read several different opinions re what Aileen Trump-Cannon has done, and might do, in the documents trial. I don't trust her, I don't see her turning on NPD Trump. The GOP and their wealthy supporters can offer much more than the simple satisfaction of doing things the right way.

I question why a motion wasn't filed to get the case assigned to another judge. Smith is either following a well thought out game plan, or he's playing a role in a fixed game controlled by others.

Trump says it would be 'very dangerous' if Jack Smith sends him to jail — MSNBC

Yes, T’s mad and audacious to say this.
And Y’know, the justice/fairness side of me agrees with the talking heads here…that it’s crazy to threaten Smith.

    But…
    Here we are.
This crap that T does, does work in some way.
A segment of people voted for the cad.
    Twice
    Some attacked Congress for him
There’s allies and lawyers that support him
Much of the GOP supports him
    Some may attack

Legally, he could be imprisoned and still run for prez.
    And win

The delays work, we’re still here
His tactics work to a certain extent

    There’s holes in the system
And he’s audacious and lacking in integrity enough to test everything.

There’s a segment of society that’s crazy enough to vote for him yet again.

So Smith, the DOJ, the courts and everything is incredibly important.
They have to press, stay true, do justice.
And do it in a timely manner.

    Because T wants his power.
And there’s a lot of people that want to give it to him.

Our nation is really being tested.
And T knows a lot of his “ways” DO work.

I can only hope he’s prevented.

    Because we’ve been here before…
    Where they dismissed him
    Said he’d be crushed
    Yet…it happened

We cannot let this happen again.

This is kinda Civil War level shit.
    Ultimate corruption.
    Laws and structure in crisis

Judge sets May 2024 trial date for Donald Trump in documents case | CNN Politics

A compromise between what NPD Trump wanted (no trial date) and what Jack Smith wanted December 2023.

Bullshit. Aileen Trump-Cannon's explanation sounds like she copied & pasted it from NPD Trump's filing asking for a trial date to be dtermined.

    A pre-trial hearing on May 14, trial to start May 20 (a very tentative date IMO).......in 2024.

    More charges are being added.

A lot of the evidence seems solid.

    And
Aileen Trump-Cannon appears to firmly entrenched as the judge.

More than solid...it's Watergate tape level.
    They've got recordings.

    T wants to be a gangsta...but he's just a clumsy criminal.

“So much worse”: Legal experts say new Trump indictment “reads just like organized crime activity”

I hope Smith nails him good.
    He's playing 3D chess...to T's tiddlywinks.

IMHO, I think Cannon has learned her lesson.
Especially since she can truly see the case building and the implications.
Smith has got him dead to rights...and we've got the ex-prez playing with fire.

I have zero faith in Aileen Trump-Cannon giving NPD Trump any kind of actual punishment.

I see the distinct possibility of the trial ending in a mistrial because of a planted juror...or two.

I also think Tortoise Garland is in on it.

fflowley Don't just do something, stand there!

Up next....January 20 and Georgia charges.
    Both could happen this week.
Neither will be under the jurisdiction of Justice Cannon.

Another solid piece of evidence that NPD Trump attempted to obstruct the investigation. But what will it lead to?

Takeaways from the new charges against Trump, aide and Mar-a-Lago worker in the classified documents case | CNN Politics

One big thing is getting the people with direct knowledge of NPD Trump's activities to give honest testimony.

There are other huge factors such as getting through the trial, the appeals (if he is convicted). His sentencing, if the case ever gets that far, will be up to Aileen Trump-Cannon.

Another thought, which might or might not be far fetched, is this could drag out so long we end up with a Republican POTUS who pardons NPD Trump.

I'm hoping for state convictions that stick.

But those could be many years in the future.

Judge Aileen Cannon reveals 'out-of-district grand jury' is investigating classified documents case

    And here we go again...
We may be seeing the previous emergence of Cannon's character and trend.
Anything to question and delay T's opposition.

Will the Appeal's Court have to get involved again???

Uhh, this is a Federal case...NOT a Florida case.
Just because most of the docs were found in FL at Mar-A-Lago, doesn't mean it has to be there.
The National Archive which asked for them back and the White House is in DC...does that matter?
It can be anywhere, for Federal.

That's just a foolish notion. If this is true.
Then again, she was foolish before...and the Appeals Court rebuked her. (and that included conservative judges)

I hope this is not going to be a mess again.

I was about to post a link, which I'll do since I have link copied.

I suspect she's using her ignorance intentionally...which means it's not ignorance.

Judge Cannon Gifted Luxury Trip by Leo-Backed Scalia Law School - Accountable US

Meanwhile, judge Cannon is getting more found out about her.
    Vacations, gift, etc.
Much given by the newly renamed George Mason law college. (and usual suspect, Mr. Leonard Leo)

Starting to see a typical pattern of bribery and corruption for conservative judges. (like Alito and Thomas)
Make ya a bet others have been given vacations and favors.

I'm certain the same happens on the left.

I'd love a comparison between the right & left to see who is more guilty.

Actually, I think this is a false equivalence.
I haven't heard at all anything on the opposite...not for years.
