Special counsel shows signs of ramping up Trump investigation — The Hill

All I can say by now is, “we’ll see…”

    Georgia
    New York
    FBI

All of them are lingering and taking their sweet time.

The man will be dead before they do anything
Then again, he’ll be dead…and no more to do about him or having him muddy the waters or even just speak, which still makes me cringe.

I hope they act soon, this Spring
Let the flowers bloom for that.

Judge tosses out disciplinary action against Sidney Powell for work on Trump election reversal bid — CNN Politics

This is why we can’t have nice things…
And why the corrupt and bad guys get away with much.

Judges, Cops, Officials, and so on…
    Just don’t get justice done
When it’s obvious and apparent injustice was done
And a bad person needs to be dealt with.

It takes too long, technicalities and so on…
What is an impactful scene is left alone or lingering

The Probe into what is perhaps the biggest corruption and treacherous situation in modern US history is languishing

Makes you wonder if ANYTHING will ever be done
    And held to???

    Is this how Rome fell?

This happened in Texas, which reinforces my lack of surprise. If you want an idea of how phuqed our state judicial system is, research our Attorney General, Ken Paxton.

Don't give up following the probe(s) and hoping they lead to charges & convictions, waning attention is exactly what the assdraggers are hoping for.

Maybe CO will have better luck.

Perry court fight keeping over 2,000 records from Trump investigators — Reuters

Yet another ploy to drag their feet, block and hide.
    Not one is cooperative.

Fortunately, most judges have had enough.
And they’re starting to throw their weight around.

Excuses aren’t considered as much anymore.
They’ve heard enough, repeated and they’re over it.

Now it’s time for the FBI to light the fire already.
We’ve been waiting for this fireworks show forever.

    It’s agonizing, IMHO.

    Oh, he knew.
This whole damn thing has been about muddying the waters.
Anything to twist the story, create confusion and doubt, the escape the possibilty of collusion.

Classic ploy, like set off firecrackers, mob scrambles, bad guy gets away.
We've been watching this crap on TV & movies since we were kids.

    Of course McCarthy knew.

    Who else knew?
Why wasn't this huge news in the news media?
What would the repubs have done if Pelosi had released the same footage to Mother Jones, or CNN (not that CNN'S left bias comes anywhere near FOX'S right bias)?

Releasing security footage related to on-going investigations and current trials has to be illegal in some way.

One thing NPD Trump and the resulting extreme partisanship has shown -- more like exposed -- is the flaws in allowing the branches of government to police themselves.

Well, the news did have it all over...it just didn't last beyond a day or so of news cycles. The public saying 'so?', it didn't register in their psyche.
Oh, the Repubs would have raged, but they rage at everything...so it's hard to tell which rage is important...which most aren't.

And I'm sure the FBI has added that to their list to investigate...but it's doubtful they'll go after the Speaker.

The problem it seems is all the enforcement entities have become impotent.
They do nothing about much to do.

Trump seeks to block Georgia election interference criminal charges — CNBC

    Of course, he is…
His M.O. is to suppress anything, get anything thrown out, intimidate, obfuscate and so on…
Do the crime and then confuse and convince others to ignore or drop.

    Everything, Everywhere, All at once…
Or whenever he can in the long run.

Georgia is thinking of using the RICO act on him.
    Treating it as organized crime.
Which is exactly what organized crime does against these cases.
    Except it ain’t that organized
And T’s team is even less so…sloppy and loud.

Frankly, I think prosecutors have a hands-down case.
It’s only them backing off that’s preventing justice.

But I think that all of them are tired and angry now from all of T’s antics.
    Making them look bad…
I think they’re all going to go after him now.

With Merick Garland and the Feds coming in last.
But they’ll shove their way to the front.

The requests sound like frivolous bullshit. It's bad enough when civil litigation turns into a war of attrition, but letting defendents in criminal cases delay & delay is beyond frustrating. Shut that BS down ASAP, & get on with it.

I think Georgia has a very strong case against Trump.

Manhattan DA: Trump created false expectation of arrest, Republicans interfered

Looks like T and the GOP jumped the gun,
which may be illegal in itself. (Congress has NO oversight in State proceedings, at least in this context...not a civil rights violation)
trying to play the "victim" and making $$ from it,
    which IS also illegal.

Enjoy your trip back to NY, Mr T.
You might be staying a LONG while.

As they say, it's not the crime, it's the coverup, that gets them.

Trump live updates: Ex-president suggests there could be 'death and destruction' if he's charged — CNBC

    So…
He’s basically doing the SAME thing that he’s being investigated for by the FBI and Congress.
Instigating a RIOT and violence to support himself and get what he wants.

    Except here, in New York

Uhhh, isn’t that obstruction of justice???
    And so many other laws?

Basically, he may even get off on the payment
And even the coverup of that payment
    But now he’s encouraging violence
And he’s using intimidation to stem his arrest.

And I hope the AG of NY throws the book at him for it.
Slam dunk…hell it’s now all over the media.

Much less ALL the other things he’s done.

Put this guy away already.

When I first heard this I was ecstatic.

Judge says Pence must testify to Jan. 6 grand jury

When I read the judge is allowing some topics to be protected, I got pissed.

If NPD Trump, or anyone in the West Wing circle, mentioned any activity to hinder or stop the certification to Pence, he needs to testify. Preferably completely & honestly.

But Pence is in love with NPD Trump. He wants to be NPD Trump, but is too much of a wimp. Pence reminds me of the pathetic pussy officer who commits suicide in A Few Good Men.
